Mexican artist Frida Kahlo(1907-1954) is celebrated for her selfportraits, portrayal of women and femininity, and the Mexican folklore and cultural symbolism infused within her work. During her lifetime , Kahlo passionately documented her experiences in life, her physical and emotional pain and her turbulent marriage to the Mexican muralist Diego Rivera in her paintings, drawings, sketches, and writing.
